Gail Lynch

Hospitality Coordinator

BIO

Gail recently moved to El Paso after graduating from Wheaton College with a B.A. in Sociology and a certificate in Human Needs and Global Resources.

It was through this certificate program that she interned with Abara and Ciudad Nueva for 6 months and developed a love for the Borderlands and the El Paso-Juarez community.

Gail serves as Hospitality Coordinator, seeking to facilitate spaces of welcome for everyone with whom Abara interacts. Her passion for hospitality is rooted in an ever-growing desire for justice, education, equity, and peace.

She facilitates logistics for all border encounters, joins the El Paso community in migrant shelter support, and coordinates volunteer partnerships.

Abara embraces the idea that hospitality is often reciprocal.

We welcome Gail as she welcomes others with her love for people. How could we not? After all, she enjoys morning walks and chocolate chip cookies. Since moving here, she gained a love for living in the Rio Grande District community, the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball team, and making homemade pizza with those she loves.
